Dean of Student Affairs Presents
Sophomore Select Series: TLS Presents
Tuesday, October 25, 2016
Campus Center, Multipurpose Room
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm EDT/GMT-4
The Trustee Leader Scholar (TLS) Program of Bard College supports undergraduate and leadership development in the context of hands-on, student-initiated community engagement projects. Students in TLS propose, design, and implement civic engagement projects based on their own passionate interests. TLS projects are local, national, and international. Sophomore year is the best time to become involved in such a program! This event will give sophomores the opportunity to come talk with students about how to get engaged in social action projects--or how to create one of their own. Some of the current TLS projects include: Bard Palestinian Youth Initiative, Bard Prison Initiative Volunteers, Bard Science Outreach, Brothers At Bard, Community Engagement Arts Project, Germantown Tutoring Program, New Orleans Exchange, and Nicaragua Education Initiative. 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm EDT/GMT-4
