Come hear Michael Martell, Assistant Professor Economics at Bard College, discuss the origins of stereotypes of gay and lesbian affluence and the history of economic research that has developed a more accurate depiction of the economic experiences of sexual minorities. 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm EDT/GMT-4
Learn about the empirical methods economists have utilized to understand the socioeconomic experience of LGBT individuals. Also, find out how the economic outcomes of LGBT individuals relate to existing economic theory.
