“A Dialogue Workshop: Reflective Communication”
ALL ARE WELCOME “A Dialogue Workshop: Reflective Communication”
This interactive workshop will present strategies to help
you enhance listening skills and promote awareness of shared
language. We will engage in conversations to help you practice
reflective listening that supports inclusive environments by recognizing
and valuing the many facets of diversity in the Bard College campus
community. This interactive session is intended for participants
(students, faculty, staff, and engaged community members) who are
interested in sharpening their conscious awareness about the ways
in which thinking and acting can interfere with the ability to communicate
effectively. Participants will examine the rationale for reflective communicative
practices and engage in exercises designed to give them experience with this
practice. This session should particularly benefit people who want to become
more skillful in their communication with people when sensitive or hot topics are
relevant. This session is designed to assist people in reflecting critically about their
communication practices.
Bard will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations for accessibility needs. The MPR is an accessible, ground level space. For more information about this event's location, please contact the Event Coordinator, Myra Armstead.
