A COVID-19 Update
To the Bard College community:We are thrilled to announce that we have arranged an on-campus vaccine clinic, which will take place Monday April 12 from 9AM-7PM at the Stevenson Gymnasium. The clinic will administer up to 1000 doses of the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine. First priority for sign-up goes to residential and non-residential undergraduate and residential graduate students. Please sign up HERE before Saturday April 10 to reserve your spot. The sign-up link and clinic are administered by a New York State-approved vaccine administrator, Dr. Neal Smoller. All information on the sign-up link, which is required by New York State, will be protected by Dr. Smoller in accordance with State and Federal law. New York State limits the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to those above 18 years of age; we encourage all students who meet that criteria and have not yet been vaccinated to sign up. The vaccination site will be able to accommodate students with mobility issues.
Beginning Saturday April 10th, we will open any remaining spots to other graduate students and all Bard faculty and staff via a follow-up announcement, so please watch your email. A separate clinic in Kingston for the students, faculty, and staff of the graduate programs has already been organized and was announced to them yesterday.
Instructions for the clinic on Monday:
- Please wear a T-shirt or tank top, as this will be an open clinic without privacy screens.
- Eat and drink something before attending the clinic, as that often helps people tolerate the shot more comfortably.
- Bring your picture ID with date of birth, and insurance information. Social Security card or birth certificate can substitute for insurance information.
We would like to thank the Ulster County Executive’s office and Dr. Neal Smoller (AKA the Village Apothecary in Woodstock) for their support and assistance in arranging this clinic.
Sincerely,
Bard College COVID-19 Response Team
