Bard’s Buildings and Grounds Department provides routine maintenance to prevent maintenance and mold concerns, and Bard’s Environmental Services Department cleans residence hall common areas on a daily basis. Buildings and residence hall rooms are inspected multiple times per year. If you believe that you have mildew or mold in your residence hall room, please complete a work order as soon as possible so the issue can be addressed as quickly and effectively as possible.

The Office of Student Activities (OSA) offers resources to all student clubs and supports Bard’s academic mission by contributing to the social, cultural, and intellectual life of the College. OSA also advocates for students by addressing their interests and requests concerning student life. This office serves as a resource for the entire Bard community by organizing large-scale events, overseeing the planning and registration process for student-run events, advising Student Government and student clubs, and collaborating with other offices, programs, and community members to enhance campus life, interfaith and intercultural relations, and more. OSA commits to fostering a student-centered environment that promotes excellence in Diversity, Inclusion, Leadership, and Engagement. Student Activities offers weekly weekend events through Thursday Night Live as well as Bard After Dark, large scale campus events each month, as well as annual traditions such as Welcome Back Weekend, Casino Night, Spring Fling, and many more. The Student Publicity and Activities Resource Center (SPARC) is also located within OSA and provides logistical support for all student-run events on campus. Consult with SPARC about registration procedures for all events (also see the Events Registration section in Chapter 5 of this handbook).
