Q: How long does it take to process my application and resume?
A: Your application and resume are available to Human Resources and the hiring manager as soon as you apply online.

Q: How can I be sure Bard College received my resume and cover letter?
A: Once you’ve successfully sent your application materials to the email account corresponding to the search, our email system sends you a confirmation email auto response. Please contact the email address if you do not receive an autoresponse (your spam blocker may be blocking the email to your inbox).

Q: How can I find out the status of my application or follow up on it?
A: Human Resources and hiring managers are continually reviewing resumes. If your background and experience are a strong match for the position to which you are applying, the hiring manager or human resources will contact you for a phone or in-person interview. Please understand that the resume review process takes time due to the high volume of interest our positions receive. If your candidacy does not progress because your qualifications are not as strong as other candidates in the hiring pool, you will be emailed at the conclusion of the search.

The College is made up of a striking variety of programs, ranging from the Bard High School Early Colleges, to Smolny College, in Russia and Bard Al-Quds. The heart of the College is the Annandale-on-Hudson campus with its 1,900 undergraduates.

Bard College's annual Open enrollment for benefits effective July 1, 2014 has now closed.

Premium contributions will be increasing this year, however you can receive a discount by participating in the new Interactive Health Wellness Initiative. Information on the Wellness Initiative is available for download (below), on the Benefits Portal (tab above) and hard copies are available in the Human Resources Office (& through campus & US Mail). You can still participate in the screening through the at home kit, or in the September on campus visits.

Please note that new Empire & Flexible Spending Accounts cards have been mailed to everyone participating during the month of JUNE - if you have not received your new card/s by July 1, please confirm that Marshall & Sterling has your correct address by entering the benefits portal.

Finally please note that the LOWER premium will be charged July 1 through September 30 - no action is required on your part. After October 1, if you have not participated in the Wellness Initiative, the higher premium will begin to apply.

New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Options
and Your Health Coverage

When key parts of the health care law take effect in 2014, there will be a new way to buy health insurance: the Health Insurance Marketplace. To assist you as you evaluate options for you and your family, we provide basic information about the new Marketplace and employment-based health coverage offered by Bard College. Please download the 'New Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Options And Your Health Coverage' notice & visit for additional information, including an online application for health insurance coverage and contact information for a Health Insurance Marketplace in your area. If you require the employer notification of your non-eligibility for health insurance in order to apply for health insurance, please request it from Human Resources. Hard copies of the notice are also available on request.
