  • Nationally Competitive Scholarships
    The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program will annually identify a group of up to 100 high-achieving students from around the world with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment to receive full funding to pursue a wide-ranging graduate education at Stanford, with the goal of developing a new generation of global leaders. The Knight-Hennessy Scholars is the largest fully endowed scholars program in the world.

    Samvid Scholars invests in future leaders committed to effecting positive change in the world. The scholarship provides up to $50,000 in tuition support each year for two years for students in graduate schools across the US. Scholars also receive two years of leadership development programming to support them to continue to fulfill their extraordinary potential. The program seeks candidates who have an exceptional record of achievement and are driven to make an impact.

    Paul and Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans program honors the contributions of immigrants and children of immigrants to the United States. "Each year, we invest in the graduate education of 30 New Americans—immigrants and children of immigrants—who are poised to make significant contributions to US society, culture or their academic field. Each Fellow receives up to $90,000 in financial support over two years, and they join a lifelong community of New American Fellows."
  • The Department of Education 
    administers several loan programs for which medical students may be eligible. The majority of these programs are authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act (HEA). The three main types of federal student loans available for medical students are Unsubsidized Stafford Loans, GradPLUS Loans, and HRSA Primary Care Loans. Eligibility for these loans is based on the data provided on your FAFSA form. All current federal student loan interest rates are available on the Department of Education website.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
    If you’re employed by a government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the PSLF Program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans.
  • The National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program (NHSC SP)
    awards scholarships to students pursuing eligible primary care health professions training. In return, scholars commit to provide primary care health services in Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs).
  • The CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Program
     provides federal loan repayment in exchange for two years of service practicing epidemiology in CDC or state/local health departments. (Physicians, Veterinarians, Nurses and Physician Assistants, Other Doctoral-Level Healthcare Professionals (e.g., DDS, DMD, PharmD), Doctoral-level scientists [e.g., PhD, DrPH, ScD])
  • The Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) 
    Contact a recruiter for each Service that interests you. You can apply solely to the Services that interest you, or you can apply to all three — Army, Navy or Air Force. This program could be for you if you are pursuing a career in one of these fields: Medical (including Osteopathy), Dental, Veterinary, Nursing, Counseling and Clinical Psychology, Optometry Learn more about the different Military Services.
  • The Indian Health Service awards
     up to $50,000 in loan repayment to health professionals in exchange for at least two years of service in health facilities serving American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Eligible Health Professions
  • Veterans Affairs - Loan Repayment and Scholarship Programs
    Federal loan repayment and scholarship programs exist to help you offset the costs of medical school. Veterans Affairs (VA) provides repayment assistance and scholarship opportunities through its Specialty Education Loan Repayment Program (SELRP) and Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP).
