Bard College offers a large number of Macintosh and Windows computers available in computing labs and classrooms throughout the campus. Most computers minimally contain DVD & RW drives as well as the following software: Web Browsers; FTP/SSH/Telnet; MS Office Suite; and iApps (on Macs only).

Unless otherwise noted, the labs should be open during the hours posted on this page.  If a lab is not open during the scheduled hours, please contact HelpDesk at 845-758-7500 (weekdays 9am-5pm) or Bard College Security at 845-758-7460 (all other times).

Jim Ottaway Jr. Film Center (Avery)

Mac Multimedia Lab

The Ottaway Film Center houses a multimedia computing lab equipped with the latest Adobe and Apple graphics and video editing suites, as well as various decks for importing and exporting standard and high-definition digital video. Although this lab is primarily used by the Film and Electronic Arts Program it is open to the Bard Community.

This lab is used as a classroom each semester.  A class schedule is posted on the door.  When a class meets in the lab, the lab is closed to students and community-members.  Due to the frequency of class schedule changes, we do not post class hours on this website.

Located on the second floor of the Olin Language Center, this public lab (LC203) with multiple teaching and tutoring spaces, is primarily designed for and used by foreign language students, faculty, and CFLC staff.
